Nepal is listed as one of the “50 places to see before you die” by BBC and one of the “Best Countries for Adventure Destination in the World” by National Geographic Adventure Magazine.

  • Kathmandu : The capital city, Kathmandu is enriched with temples more than homes and festivals exceeding the number of days in a year. The whole valley with its seven heritage sites has been enlisted in cultural World Heritage Site list.Three Durbar Squares – Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath and Changunarayan are the places most revered by the whole world.
  • Muktinath : Muktinath is a village and temple located at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas), Mustang district, Nepal. Muktinath is a sacred place both for Hindus and Buddhists. The Hindus call the place Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the “place of salvation”.The Muktinath temple is considered a sacred place for Hindus all around the world
  • Jomsom : Jomsom is a village in the Annapurna mountains of Nepal. It is the capital of the Mustang district of the Dhaulagiri zone of Nepal. The town is a popular starting/ending point for treks along the Kali Gandaki River valley as well as up to Muktinath on the Jomsom-Muktinath Trek. Both the treks can be done as part of the Annapurna Circuit. Jomsom can be reached by plane, Jeep or on foot.
  • Pokhara : Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. Situated south-west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley, the city is known as a center of adventure with several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panaromic views of Himalayan peaks. It is the starting point for most of the treks in the Annapurna area. It is considered by many to be the most beautiful place in the whole wide world.
  • Chitwan : Chitwan is famous for the Chitwan National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site Chitwan National Park is rich in flora and fauna, including one of the last populations of single-horned Indian Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis) and the Bengal tiger Panthera tigris tigris. The Park consists of a diversity of ecosystems-including the Churia hills, Ox-bow lakes, and the flood plains of the Rapti, Reu and Narayani Rivers.
  • Dhulikhel : Dhulikhel is a typical Newari town with nearby Tamang villages. It is situated 30 km. east of Kathmandu. Dhulikhel is popular for its natural beauty and ancient traditions. The Himalayan ranges from the twin crest of Mt. Langtang in the west to the Mt. Everest in the east can be clearly viewed on a clear day. Dhulikhel is ideal for snow-capped peaks, sunrise & sunset.  One can say Dhulikhel is where the peaks speak.
  • Nagarkot : Nagarkot is situated 32 kms east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175 m above sea level. From Nagarkot, one see the breathtaking views of the major himalayan peaks of Nepal like Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, dorje Lakpa, Choyu, Gauri Shankar, etc. On a clear day, one can even see the tip of Mt. Everest from here. Many tourists go to Nagarkot at afternoon, stay at one of the resorts to view early morning sunrise over the mountains.
  • Lumbini : Lumbini is the place where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautama, who in turn, as the Buddha Gautama, gave birth to the Buddhist tradition. The Buddha lived between roughly 563 and 483 BCE. It is said in the Parinibbana Sutta that Buddha himself identified four places of future pilgrimage: the sites of his birth, enlightenment, first discourse, and death.
  • Lukla : Lukla is a town in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal where most people visiting the Himalayas near Mount Everest start their journey. Lukla, at 2,860 metres (9,380 ft.), contains a small airport where most people begin and end their adventure in the region.  Although Lukla means place with many goats and sheep, one is not likely to see many roaming around these days.
